Piano Hinge Books
Piano Hinge books are so named because they are bound with skewers, which weave through hinges cut into the fold of the signatures. You can see these “hinges” in the examples below; you can also read elsewhere a tutorial on how to make them.
I’ve produced a number of this kind of book because they’re fun and attractive, offer numerous possibilities for artistic expression. I’ve included several pages of drawings and collages from my book Bird here.
